Says a Thousand Words

We have a section in our 2 day class where we only showed pictures and asked our students to make certain judgements based on the pictures.

While it is true that we should not judge a book by its covers and just looking at pictures alone is insufficient to pass a definitive judgement, the important lesson of the exercise is to pick up the skill of finding information not “announced”.

Sometimes, critical information is even written out in plain sight/text and it is up to us to just read it.

Example A:

“With the introduction of a distributed ledger innovation, there were concerns that this trend may impact the data centres. However, the CEO assured that the data still needs to be kept in a physical location even for distributed ledgers, and therefore data centres will still remain relevant.”

Example B:

In the past, we used to sell our products by first seeking to understand the needs of the design and production engineering of a particular customer. With the new sales method, we first seek to strengthen our relationship with the management through consultations, and then choose an approach in order to help the customer solve management issues and achieve various objectives. This provides us with new opportunities to sell our products.

From the same pieces of public information, we will get two kind of responses:

  1. !!!!
  2. ????

Which response did you had?

Thank you for reading.
